External Workers: getting started

As an external worker, you will use your own smartphone and laptop to access the UCB environment. To keep UCB systems secure, a few setup steps are required before you can start working.

This page guides you through the entire process. Please follow the steps in the order shown. Each step builds on the previous one.

At any time, help is available via the MyIT Service Desk, which remains visible on your screen.

Before you begin

Please make sure you have:

  • Your smartphone with internet access

  • Your laptop

  • Access to the welcome email you received

  • About 30 uninterrupted minutes

Keep your smartphone nearby — you will need it several times during the setup.
